It is based on the belief that a person's health is determined by the balance of three fundamental energies or doshas: Vata (air and ether), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (earth and water). Ayurveda uses various techniques to diagnose and treat imbalances in the doshas, including dietary changes, herbal remedies, lifestyle adjustments, yoga, meditation, and detoxification practices. The goal of Ayurvedic treatment is to restore harmony and balance within the body, which is believed to promote health and prevent illness.
